How can spatial technologies support the Catchment Based Approach?

Meet VesAR, CommunityViz and RiverEYE – three very different technologies all exploring how people engage with their landscape, a PhD set in multiple Norfolk river catchments

Part II – CommunityViz

Overview

The second larger area of my PhD research visioning change within a river catchment using different spatial techniques to engage stakeholders with the catchment issues and develop solutions is progressing well. Teaming up with the Norfolk Rivers Trust to work together in the Stiffkey catchment we brought together the views and ideas of residents, farmers and landowners, wildlife groups and industry groups to discuss ways to create a sustainable multifunctional future river catchment.

The time-scale for this second piece of work was January – May 2013, if you #loveyourriver and would like to know more about the catchment plan then do please get in touch.
