How can spatial technologies support the Catchment Based Approach?

Meet VesAR, CommunityViz and RiverEYE – three very different technologies all exploring how people engage with their landscape, a PhD set in multiple Norfolk river catchments

Get involved in the Stiffkey Catchment Plan!

This tweet has recently gone out sent by the Norfolk Rivers Trust, one of the newer rivers trusts it has won funding to really make a difference to the unique chalk rivers which are hidden all along the North Norfolk Coast from Mundesley to King’s Lynn.

So where do you come in?

Whether you live or work or just visit at a weekend your involvement is key to getting a robust catchment plan for the future and making a difference to people who live and work in the area.

So where do I come in?

The research which I do uses technology to show people what the future might possibly look like if changes are made to the land use, or to the course of the river for example. Previous research has shown that seeing data displayed on maps and in visualisations can really spark interest and aid discussions amongst different groups – so if you want to be part of the discussion and have a few hours to spare (refreshments will be provided) then do get in touch!
